First phase of Mantua project to have 222 homes

The Mantua project officially broke ground earlier this month on its development with a ceremony that was combined with a ribbon cutting. The first phase of the development is being called Mantua Point and is on the north side of the property, which parallels U.S. Highway 75. This portion is inside Grayson County, but the entire Mantua project sits in both Van Alstyne in Grayson County and Anna in Collin County.

Prosper Christmas Festival

Planners are putting the finishing touches on this year’s Prosper Christmas Festival, presenting it once again at Frontier Park, 1551 Frontier Parkway, on Dec. 1. What began as the Prosper Country Christmas in 2008 in the downtown area with a few booths and a small stage, has grown into one of the area’s largest holiday festivals, with a parade, vendor booths, food trucks, rides, games, a thrilling fireworks display, and the participation of several thousand attendees from Prosper and surrounding communities.
